JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Vice-President Finance, the incumbent will be responsible for the payroll team already in place.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage a team of approximately 3 full-time and 1 part-time staff;
- Participate in meetings with the Human Resources department to ensure proper payroll management;
- Supervise and participate, with the team, in the complete payroll cycle every 2 weeks (Canada, USA and UK);
- Process and ensure compliance of all documents related to employee payroll;
- Carry out the usual verifications and ensure compliance with current regulations when processing salaries and other employment-related benefits;
- Administer certain social programs and reimburse expense accounts;
- Administer DAS applicable to the employee's jurisdiction and status;
- Prepare T4 and other year-end statements;
- Advise managers, human resources partners and employees on payroll-related matters;
- Any other job-related tasks.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND APTITUDES
- DEC or Bachelor's degree with appropriate field of specialization, or a diploma or attestation of studies whose equivalence is recognized by the competent authority;
- Payroll compliance specialist designation is an asset;
- Five (5) years' experience in similar functions;
- Good knowledge of computerized payroll and benefits management systems. Experience with SAP and Ceridian Dayforce software is an asset;
- Good stress management and deadline management skills;
- Proficiency with Excel spreadsheets;
- Accustomed to handling high payroll volumes;
- Be recognized as having good oral and written communication skills in both official languages (French and English);
- Possess a strong team spirit and collaborative spirit;
- Be a reliable, autonomous, responsible, dynamic, very discreet person with good management of priorities;
- Be recognized as having a mobilizing leadership.
